For the sixth time, EPG Engines CEO Tim McCarthy visited Papua New Guinea to support the region’s agricultural sector actively. His commitment was evident through EPG’s participation in the 61st Annual Morobe Show and a dedicated training session for Farmset students. These efforts reflect EPG’s ongoing dedication to fostering innovation, collaboration, and talent development in PNG.
The Morobe Show, held in late 2024, served as an ideal platform for EPG to connect with industry leaders and showcase their innovative agricultural solutions. As the last remaining agricultural show in the country, it continues to be a vital hub for driving advancements in the sector.
A key highlight of EPG’s presence was its strong partnership with Lucas Mill, a leader in the Portable Sawmill Industry with over 50 years of experience and over 25 years of collaboration with EPG Engines. Farmset, a Lucas Mill agent in Papua New Guinea, demonstrated the capabilities of portable sawmills powered by Kohler Engines, a trusted solution provided by EPG.
The event also featured Lucas Mill Trainer Ian Schulz, Lucas Mill GM Matt De Jager, and Farmset Manager Rob Foley, who shared their expertise with attendees. Their hands-on demonstrations and in-depth knowledge highlighted the cutting-edge agricultural machinery transforming the industry.
EPG Engines CEO Tim McCarthy actively engaged with customers throughout the event, sharing his hands-on expertise and leadership. His presence reinforced EPG’s commitment to providing tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of the agricultural market.
Tim McCarthy’s Training Session with Farmset Students
In addition to his involvement at the Morobe Show, Tim McCarthy conducted a dedicated training session for 18 Farmset students, emphasising EPG Engines' commitment to the Papua New Guinea market. This training focused on empowering the next generation of agricultural professionals with the knowledge and skills to operate and maintain Kohler-powered equipment.
Tim’s direct involvement in training showcased his dedication to fostering local talent and strengthening the expertise of those in the industry. The hands-on session provided students with invaluable insights into the functionality, maintenance, and optimisation of Kohler Engines, ensuring they are well-prepared to support the agricultural sector’s growth.
